FRIDAY GIANTS

EPK - 2020

Inspired by the Cincinnati music scene, Friday Giants is a rising post hardcore band influenced heavily by the sounds of Silverstein, Beartooth, A Day To Remember, and Underoath. The current line up consists of vocalist Zac Taylor, guitarist Chuck Ralenkotter, guitarist Mason Stamper, and drummer Logan Boatright. Friday Giants released their self produced debut EP Life on Repeat in 2015 featured previous members of the band, followed by their debut release of Twenty Nothings featuring past members and recorded by Jake Bryant of Cinema Century.

Twenty Nothings enjoyed success including two nominations in the 2017 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for best in Punk and best music video for "Twenty Nothings", and the album has reached over 30,000 streams. In 2018, Friday Giants earned a spot at Bunbury Music Festival which featured headliners Jack White, Incubus, and Post Malone. They followed July by playing the July 19th Vans Warped Tour at Riverbend Music Center on the Full Sail University stage.

2019 brought a new era with a new lineup and a new sound with the release of Something Worth Saving

Cincinnati Rockers Friday Giants Shift Gears on New 'Something Worth Saving' EP

“Something Worth Saving shows evolution at work — through growth, change and persistence, Friday Giants honed in our their strengths, built upon them and got even better.” - City Beat

‘Something Worth Saving’ Review

“Five short songs but endless energy, holy smokes. I think “Something Worth Saving” is my favourite so far. Its working title during recording was “Paraunderstein”, named for the influences it had from Paramore, Underoath, and Silverstein which… is entirely accurate. “Flatline” is about Chester Bennington which adds an extra layer for me personally, but the whole collection is so strong. It’s even wilder once you hear the story behind it all.” - Paigebackstage.com

EP Review: Friday Giants Something Worth Saving

“Persistence,” the opening track of Friday Giant’s new EP Something Worth Saving, is intense – it’s a fast-tempo, high-energy rocker that ticks all the post-hardcore boxes without sounding like every other post-hardcore song. The vocals range between smoothly melodic to primally screamed, investing the listener in the emotional space of the song. “Something Worth Saving” smacks you in the fact with more pounding drums and chunky guitar, laying a foundation for a catchy guitar hook and more of those dynamic vocals. - CincyMusic.com
